About

Geek Porn Girl is a blog for gay girls in glasses. It explores what’s lesbian, geeky, and current. The site includes news and feature links, opinion writing, original lesbian-themed fiction, and more.

While sex-positive, this is definitely NOT pornography… “geek porn” refers to my obsession with trivial, egg-head details. In retrospect, it may have been a poor choice of names, since it gets blocked and filtered and attracts weird attention but I’ve had it for more than three years and haven’t come up with anything better.

This blog began in the fall of 2007 as a place to park my collection of short stories and grew up around that. I still post new fiction (although not as frequently as I did before I expanded the blog). I try to make my stories smart, sexy, and sometimes funny. I think that the often awkward nature of the stories is what makes them truly geeky… well, that and my obsession with quirky details that do nothing to advance the plot.

Geek Porn Girl is written from a queer point of view by me, a Genuine Bay Area Lesbian. Once upon a time, I earned a degree in writing from a liberal women’s college and went on to take lots of additional science classes. I’ve worked in the media, in the non-profit sector, and as a yoga teacher. I love science and plan to teach it someday soon. In my free time, I enjoy being a parent, exploring music and art, and all things geeky and scientific… and of course, writing and blogging.
